The 'THON
The 'THON is something special.
In 1976, the late, lamented Orson Welles Cinemas decide to hold a 24 hour science fiction retrospective. SF1 started at noon and ended at noon the following day. It was help on president's Day weekend.
Every year since then, 'Thon, as it affectionately became to be called, has bloomed in winter to bring a community of SF lovers together. Sharing one room for 24 straight hours will do strange things. Classics, schlockers, discoveries, cartoons, guests and more have graced this amazing event.
This year will be the 35th incarnation.
